Becky McCartney, of Hepworth, after a brief illness, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Tuesday August 26, 2025. Rebecca Ann “Becky” McCartney (nee Rouse) at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife and best friend to the late Bob McCartney (2020) for 42 years. Devoted mother to Jonah (partner Jessie), of Georgian Bluffs, and the late Jeremy (2005) and Dianne McCartney (partner Kevin Harders). Cherished Nanny of J.J. McCartney, Landen McCartney, and Austin and Lachlan Harders. Much loved sister of Barry Norris (wife Agnes); sister-in-law of Joan Norris, Brenda Weir-Rouse, Larry McCartney, Paul McCartney, Edith McCartney, Gladys (Wayne Cruickshank), Cliff McCartney (Karen), Edsol McCartney (Nancy), and Marlene Jack, Nancy McCartney (partner Mike), Susan McCartney, and Connie Stewart. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Ann Rouse; Bob’s parents, Gordon and Betty; brothers, Tom Norris, Jerry Norris, and Bev Rouse; sister, June Kreutzweiser; brothers-in-law Al Kreutzweiser, Steve McCartney, and Daryl McCartney; sisters-in-law Beth Norris, Brenda Norris and Joanne McCartney; and nephews, John Kreutzweiser and Marshall McCartney. Family wish to express their appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the Wiarton Hospital for the wonderful care given to Becky. Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, Wiarton, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Wednesday September 3, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A public graveside service will occur on Thursday at 11 o’clock at Boyd Cemetery, Shallow Lake. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation or the Breakfast Program at Peninsula Shores District School would be appreciated.     Jonah and family, my sincere condolences on the loss of your mom.Becky and I were part of the founding members of the Home and School at Hepworth School. We did wonderful fundraisers including making Christmas Cakes for sale at the School. Your mom was very community orientated and will be missed by many.

    Jonah and family my most heart felt condolences for the loss of your Mom. I knew Becky when we were part of Amway. Becky had a great laugh and could find the good in most situations. My family moved to Nova Scotia and lost touch but she was a great friend, loving wife and mother, very talented and committed to helping her family and community.
