Of Allenford, at Brightshores Health Systems – Southampton on Tuesday September 19, 2023. Beloved husband and best friend of the late former Margaret Verniece McLay for over 62 years. Dear father of Brad, and his wife Anne-Marie, of Allenford. Cherished Poppa of Kyle (Danielle), of Matheson, and Rachel (fiancé Ryan Comrie), of Stoney Creek; and great-poppa of Kayce Richardson. Brother of Wayne Richardson (Linda), of Allenford; and brother-in-law of Adelle (Ron Ceaser), of Miller Lake, Merv McLay (Mary), of Wyoming, ON, Barry McLay (Sue), of Owen Sound, Marie McLay, of Kitchener, and Joan McLay, of Wyoming. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Earl and Sadie; step-father, Bruce McLeod; brother, Clayt Richardson (Carol); and brothers-in-law, Bob McLay, Chuck McLay (Reta), and Milt McLay. Bob’s family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Dickie, Dr. Bach, Dr. Jeffery and Dr. Cipolletti, and the staff of the Brightshores Health Systems – Southampton, especially nurses Carly and Melissa, for the wonderful care they provided. A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Bob’s life will take place from the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Sunday September 24, 2023 from 11 AM – 2 PM. Donations to the Brightshores Health Systems – Southampton, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada would be appreciated.     Dear Brad and family,
    My condolences on the passing of your dad. When I joined his group of golfers we were the two oldest ones in the group. We had a happy relationship built on that. I sure will miss his smile and welcoming hand wave when we met to play.
