Chad “Chadalac” Migwans, of Neyaashiinigmiing, died suddenly in Southampton on Friday August 7, 2026. Chad Allen Hubert Migwans at the age of 57 years. Husband of Stacie for 27 years. Dear father of Ryan Labrecque, of Elliott Lake, Samuel Landon-Cywink, of Vancouver, Tina Amber Waskonas Migwans Debassige, of Trenton, Cedar Briann Landon, of Neyaashiinigmiing, Janis Rain Migwans, of Neyaashiinigmiing, and Kiniw Cypress Migwans, of Neyaashiinigmiing. Grandfather of Destiny, and Jayden. Brother of Mike Debassige, Forrest Schut (Marilyn McGregor), Darren Schut, Tommy-Ray Schut, and Tanya Schut-Hare (Ian Debassige), all of Manitoulin Island. Forever remembered by his step-father, Randy Schut, of Manitoulin Island; Stacie’s parents, Angus Landon, of Kenora, and Lana Landon, of Neyaashiinigmiing; his aunties and uncles; cousins; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Alberta “Jughead” Migwans. Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday August 12 from 3-7 PM at the Maadookii Senior Centre, Neyaashiinigmiing where a service to celebrate Chad’s life will be conducted on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock.
