Dale Billington passed away suddenly at Brightshores Health System – Wiarton on Monday May 26, 2025. Dale Kenneth Billington at the age of 76 years. Devoted husband and best friend to Jeannette for almost 57 years. Beloved father of Glenn Billington and his wife Lisa Harwood, of Burlington, and Christine and her husband Christopher Somers, of Georgian Bluffs. Cherished grandfather of Emma, Timothy, Ashley, and Cody. Dear brother of Janet McCray, of Victoria, BC, and Gord Billington and his wife Maureen, of Calgary, AB; and brother-in-law of Marie Lannon, of Sarnia, Leo Lannon and his wife Joyce, of Appleton, and Tom Lannon and his wife Marilyn, of Stephenville, NL. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and many friends. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Irma. Family wish to express their gratitude to first responders, and the doctors and nursing staff of the Wiarton Hospital for their care of Dale. Thanking Sauble Beach Sunset Cruisers for their long-time friendships; Sauble Snowshoe/Cross Country Ski Club for including Dale in the ongoing maintenance of our local trails; and to all friends who would lend a helping hand at a moments notice – we Dale’s family know that you will also miss him. Friends may call for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach 814 Bruce Rd. 8, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041 on Tuesday June 3, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9, where a service to celebrate Dales life will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hepworth. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences may be expressed online at www.whitcroftfuneralhome.com

Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach 814 Bruce Rd. 8, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041 on Tuesday June 3, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9, where a service to celebrate Dales life will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hepworth.

    We were very sorry to hear about Dale. He was always a friendly face at local car shows, and never failed to stop by for a chat…we appreciated our friendship with Dale and Jeanette very much. The local car community will miss him.

The car shows, the waves on his morning walks and his contagious enthusiasm for life. He was always the first to respond to volunteer requests. He will be missed by many.
