William “Daryl” Griffith
Daryl passed away on Monday April, 20th 2026 at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound. Born in Hamilton, September 28th,1955 to William and Lillian Griffith, Daryl was the oldest with three brothers: Gregory, Kevin, & Donald. He was in his 71st year. Loved by special daughter Catherine Thompson, her husband Dale and children Trulee & Kyler of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Special thanks to doctors, nurses & staff at Brightshores for giving Daryl care and dignity in his struggle with cancer. Remembered by Jim & Sharron Robertson, Sue LaPorte, Marylon & Everett Hall and friends near Bognor in Sydenham and Stone Tree Apartments. Daryl lived and worked in Dundas, Hamilton, Calgary and Lloydminister, before moving to Grey County. Daryl loved nature and enjoyed privacy. His motorcycle saw miles, especially western Canada. For years his 10X10 shed was his year-round “tiny home” on his forty-five acres 104264 Derry Line and Strathhaven Road; Daryl started to build his “home” here. At one time he counted seventeen cats that came for food and attention. Struggling with age and disabilities from a serious vehicle accident in his younger years, Daryl in 2021moved to Stone Tree Apartments. We think of Daryl, at peace, building his country place in the woods under the watchful eye of neighbouring cats. Should you wish to make a donation in remembrance of Daryl, it would be fitting and appreciated to the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. Daryl chose cremation with request for private memories instead of service. Interment Grove Cemetery, Dundas. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C.
