I would have liked to have visited with the two of you when he was still fairly well. I remember good times when he and his parents and Mary Ann would visit my family in Ottawa and at our cottage in Constance Bay( outside Ottawa) in the Summers We would often visit them in St.Catharine’s. You could not know Daryl and not love him! I’m so sorry that the last years of his life were so difficult for him and his family. However, I know that you all have wonderful memories. I wasn’t there, but I’ll always remember the story of his encounter with a grizzly bear! It was a privilege to know and love Daryl and I hope that I will have the opportunity to again see Alex and their children to share stories of their lives. I love you all and my heart is with you as you celebrate his life with so many others who loved Daryl.
