Dianne Hepburn June 9, 2024

Dianne Ellen “Lefty” Hepburn – born February 12, 1955, in Southampton, passed away peacefully at home in Wiarton on June 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 19-year battle with her diagnosis. Dianne was the cherished daughter of John and Eleanor Uhrig and beloved sister of Linda Weeks, John Uhrig, Jim Uhrig, and Carol Cairns. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Eleanor Uhrig; her brother-in-law Greg Weeks; her nephew Darryl Weeks; her father-in-law Ellery Hepburn; her mother-in-law Mae Hepburn; and her brothers-in-law Jim Mitchell and Vic Hepburn. A devoted wife, Dianne shared nearly 44 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband Keith Hepburn. Together, they raised two beautiful children, Alison and Nicholas, who survive her and will miss her dearly. Dianne is also survived by sisters-in-law, Brenda Mitchell (Jim), Karen (Jack McKinnon), Kathy (David Wilson), Gwen (Ernie Farrow), Marilyn (Garth Campbell), Melanie, and Brenda (late Vic); and brothers-in-law Mark Cairns, Brent Hepburn (Wanda) and Vern Hepburn (Diane); and many nieces & nephews. Dianne pursued her education at the University of Toronto and went on to have a meaningful career at Grey-Bruce Regional Health Center, working many years at the Southampton Memorial Hospital. She married Keith on November 14, 1980, and enjoyed many happy years together with family and friends. Dianne had a passion for hobby crafting with her mother-in-law Mae Hepburn until Mae’s passing and was an avid collector of Mr. Peanut memorabilia. A quiet, peaceful, and loving person, she supported her family and loved ones wholeheartedly. Rewarding others for good deeds and jobs well done brought her great joy, as did following Toronto’s professional sports teams on TV. Dianne’s arrangements were completed at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, Wiarton. Cremation has occurred. Her interment into Edgehill Cemetery, Colpoy’s Village will be in a double urn together with her ever-loving husband Keith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Donations to the Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated. Cremation has occurred. Her interment into Edgehill Cemetery, Colpoy's Village will be in a double urn together with her ever-loving husband Keith.
