Don Lankin November 8, 2025

Date of Funeral

November 14, 2025

George Donald Lankin of Georgian Bluffs.

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, in his 71st year. Loving husband, best friend, and soul mate of Linda Lankin for over 50 years. Proud father of Caelen (Natalie) Lankin of Clarington, and Lindsey (Neil) Simpson of Sauble Beach. “Papa Don” was adored by his four grandchildren: Tilly, Rory, Sadie, and Bodie. Survived by his younger brother Lyle (Marion) Lankin of Kitchener.

Don spent 45 beautiful years on his farm in Georgian Bluffs where he found immense joy in providing his animals with a life of dignity and respect. He enjoyed fishing, nature, and agriculture in its most organic form. Don was a quiet, but neighbourly man, who was always happy to lend a hand.

Cremation has taken place. A casual visitation will be held at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton on Friday, November 14, from 1-3 p.m., followed by a private interment at the Oxenden cemetery. Donations to the Salvation Army are welcome.

Don wishes all who knew him the very best.

I was so sorry to hear that Don had passed away. When there was ice on the bay, we enjoyed many hours jigging for the whitefish. Donnie was a natural. And just “ reel “ great guy. I have great memories of those days .
