Earle Cowen April 1, 2025

Arnold “Earle” Cowen passed away suddenly at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on April 1, 2025 in his 88th year. Earle is survived by his wife Mabel; his only daughter, Crystal (Eric); grandchildren, Sydney (Logan), Mitchell (Gabby); and his step-grandchildren, Meagan (Cole) and their son Elias. Also survived by his brother, Merv Cowen (Betty), of Oliphant; little sister, Esther (Vern Williams), of Shallow Lake. He is predeceased by his parents, Donald and Elsie Cowen, of Red Bay. He will be missed by his extended Mervyn family, with whom he spent large amounts of time doing all the things he love – fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and ATVing.

Private family arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. Interment in Colpoy’s Bay Cemetery. Family invite friends to gather with them for a Celebration of Life hosted at the Hepworth-Shallow Lake Legion, 9 Legion Rd, Hepworth on Friday May 30th from 2-6pm.
Donations to Chapman House would be appreciated.
