Faye Shaw passed away peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton, on Thursday August 29, 2024. Faye Dawn Shaw (nee Williamson) in her 92nd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Bower (2020) for over 70 years. Devoted mother of Penny Otterbein, of Oliphant, and Pam Stewart, of Allenford. Cherished grandmother of Chris Otterbein, Kodey Buchanan (Melissa), Kevan Buchanan (Danielle), Kelsey Buchanan, and Dan Stewart; and great-grandmother of Katelin and Summer. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Pearl; and brothers and sisters, Hazel Taylor, Lyla Kelly, Lewis Williamson, Garney Williamson, Clayton Williamson, Reg Williamson, Bev Williamson, Harvey Williamson, Billie Williamson, and Joyce Greenlees. Family wish to thank Dr. David Diodati and the nursing staff of the Wiarton hospital, and Dr. John VanDorp and the staff of Gateway Haven for the wonderful care Faye received over the years. Faye will be fondly remembered for her love of family, and for Wiarton Dry Cleaners that she and Bower ran for 39 years. Family invite friends for a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Faye’s life at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Thursday September 19, 2024 from 2-4 pm, with a Time of Sharing at 3 o’clock. Cremation has taken place.
