Glen Allen – of Wiarton, peacefully surrounded by his family at Brightshores Health System Wiarton on Wednesday December 4, 2024. William Glen Allen at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband to Shirley (nee Urbshott). Proud step-father of Reg MacDonald (wife Lynne Vaughan-MacDonald), of Balmy Beach, Dawn-Renee Wunderlich, of Sauble Beach, and Ken MacDonald (wife Kristine), of Mazatlan, Mexico. Grandfather of Lindsay (Dennis Wideman), Alexis MacDonald, Cassie (Andrew Hilbert), Callie (Avram Phillips), and Brendon MacDonald-Richards; and great-grandfather of Emmett, Charlotte, Beau, Colton, Levi, Easton, Isla, and Ellie-Lynne. Survived by a sister. Brother-in-law of Rodger Urbshott (Donna-Lynn), Mel Urbshott (late Judy), Nancy (Bill Angel), Donna Kavelman (late Larry), Larry Urbshott (Jill), and Syl Urbshott (Kim). Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Murial; and a brother-in-law, Gordon Urbshott. Thank you to Dr. David Diodati and Dr. Kelly Fenn; nurse Jane from the Wiarton Hospital E.R.; and to Brad from ParaMed. Private family arrangements organized at the Thomas C.     There was no one else quite like “ Uncle “ Glen as he affectionately had the Crabby girls call him. Lucky me got to really know both Glen & Shirley in Florida where a friendship grew that led to several years of creating great memories. Rest well Glen , you are at peace .
