Kathleen Quackenbush passed away suddenly at Brightshores Health System – Wiarton on Monday April 28, 2025. Kathleen Norine Quackenbush (nee Nawash) at the age of 89 years. Dear mother of Gerald Quackenbush (Cindy O’Malley), of Shelburne, and Richard Quackenbush (Tina), of Wiarton. Cherished grandmother of Gary, Valerie (James), Judi (Scott), Katrina (Adam), Matthew, Michael, AnnaMarie, AmeliaRose, Marcus, and Maverick; and great-grandmother of Tyler, Brooke, Nathan, Matthew, Alyssa, Kaila, Andrew, Robyn, Ben, and Lily. Sadly missed by her niece and nephew, Lori Kewaquom, and Randy Taylor; and her feline companion, Kitty Stash. Predeceased by her parents, Livingston and Roseann; husband Francis Cecil Quackenbush; sister, Gretta; and nephew, Vern Roote. Family wish to express their gratitude to the ER doctors and nurses for the wonderful care given to Kathleen. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the James Mason Memorial Recreation Centre, Saugeen First Nation #29 on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 2 o’clock. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Salvation Army, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041.     My condolences to Gerald, Richard and to your magnificent clan that you and your mom, Kathleen created, along with Dad.

    My sons and I will miss Kathleen very much and her bi-weekly visits on her golf cart along with our chats. She always greeted us with a smile and kind words. She spoke often of all you and looked forward to your visits.

    I may not have seen my Aunt Kathy much in the past few years, but Aunt Kathy and her parents helped shape my youth greatly over the years. I look back with many fond memories .

    My heartfelt condolences to Gerry, Richard and the entire family. I had the pleasure of working with Kathy, at my first job in Toronto, at Slot All for over 20 years. Kathy was always pleasant, hard working and quite efficient. Myself and family also had the pleasure of visiting Kathy a few times, when we were up at Sauble Beach. We had lots of fun and laughter staying at her trailer. Kathy, may God grant you a place in paradise.
