Keith Bridge passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday August 23, 2025. Keith Melvin Bridge at the age of 80 years. Devoted husband and best friend of Ruth (nee Kinch) for almost 60 years. Beloved father of Darryl (Teresa), of Frances Lake, Julie Dunoo (Shabir) and Scott (Jessica), both of Georgian Bluffs. Cherished grandfather of Dylen (partner Michelle), Amber (partner Clay), Sam and Jenna. Proud great grandfather of Hailey. Best bud of Charlie. Brother of Joyce Stewart (late Delmar), of Clavering, Burneice Stewart (late Alan), of Owen Sound, and Randy Bridge of Miller Lake. Brother-in-law of Margret Dodgson (late Ward), Mary Hellyer (late Roy), Barbara Abell (Jim), Marilyn Thede (late Doug), Eilene Croft and Carol van Eck. Keith will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Mel and Violet; a daughter, Lindell (1966); brothers, Kenneth (Gwen), Norman and Lynnie; sisters, Marie Kinch (Edward “Bud”), and Bertha Kinch (Harry); brothers-in-law William Kinch, Gordie Croft; and sisters-in-law Bonnie Jeffery (Bill), Helen Jamieson (Gord). Family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Tara Somerville for her wonderful care of Keith. Friends are invited for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton 519-534-5341 on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 12-3 PM. Interment in Oxenden Cemetery to follow at 3:15 PM. There will be a gathering following the interment. Donations to the Parkinson Society or the Brightshores Health System would be appreciated. Friends are invited for visitation at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton 519-534-5341 on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 12-3 PM. Interment in Oxenden Cemetery to follow at 3:15 PM. There will be a gathering following the interment.

    I will smile every time I think of Keith. What a wonderful man in every way possible. I was lucky enough to love him so much and will forever be grateful for the wonderful memories I have. I am so glad he is pain free and his body can rest in peace.

    I am thinking of your whole family at this time … loving you all from afar. He really was an amazing man to have brought so many wonderful people into this world with Ruth.

    I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I’ll always remember my visit—especially the excitement of my first tornado watch—and Keith’s warmth and humour throughout. I loved seeing him tinker in the garage and care for the garden. He truly loved good food and good company. We’ve all been blessed to have known him. Thinking of you all.

    Uncle Keith was a very special man. I remember that he gave you his full attention. When I was a little girl, that meant everything because kids don’t always get that from adults. He would stand close; his eyes locked on mine and listen. Often there was a hand on your shoulder or he would hold your hand. He made you feel like no one existed in his world, but you. Aunt Ruth and Uncle Keith’s house always felt like home. He was a father figure and a grand father figure for mine and I am sure many other people’s children. He raised some amazing kids and his legacy shows in the character and actions of them and their children. We could not have loved you more. Pam, John, Isabel and Will

    Ruth and all the family, we were so sorry to hear Keith had passed away. It was such a pleasure to talk with him, and we will always remember his good natured humour and quit wit. We are away for a few weeks, but our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
