April 7, 2026 at 10:59 pmDear Shelley and Family,
I am thinking of you all as I remember Lillian in her days at the Golden Dawn…serene, wise, happy, grateful, and kind….and full of life and laughter. She graciously volunteered to be photographed for our Golden Dawn Legacy giving pamphlets…and the photo was stunning…Lillian smiling radiantly with the blue waters of Georgian Bay behind her. This is the photo you see in her obituary today, and that is how I will always picture her. I had told her just how wonderful that photo was…and still is… and I had thanked her for supporting our fundraising at the Dawn, not knowing she would leave us so soon. She has already left a legacy at the Dawn, even though she was with us for only a short time. God Bless you, my friend…..Brian

April 9, 2026 at 11:43 amMy family and I met Lillian at her home approximately 10 years ago. We would visit Neyaashiinigmiing often to see family and enjoy the beauty of the area. My father-in law Marcel LaVallee or “Pep” as he was known introduced us to Lillian and she immediately made us feel welcome in her home. After our first meeting we would stop by regularly to visit her, always welcomed by a hug and a kiss and never too busy to sit and chat. Our visits were not long but they were meaningful and full of warmth and kindness. Our entire family was saddened by her passing, and we will miss our little visits, but most of all we will miss her kind way.
