Linda Deakins of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Friday November 7, 2025. Linda Sharon Deakins (nee Racicot) at the age of 71 years. Loving wife of the late Mervyn Thomas Deakins (2014) for over 30 years. Cherished mother of Lincoln Porter (friend Trina), of Edmonton, and Jen Porter, of London. Stepmother of Tracy (husband Jeff Langlois), of Collingwood, and Tammy (husband Antony Graver), of Wiarton. Proud grandmother of Joe, Brandon, Paden, Paige, Christopher, Danielle and Ashlee. Sister of Patsy Plurde and Susy Sparling (partner Dan), both of Cochrane; sister-in-law Joyce Racicot, of Kamloops, BC; and sister-in-law of Marion Williamson (partner John Cornfield), of Keppel. Sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Andrew and Ellen; stepson Trevor; brothers Richard Racicot and Donny Racicot; and sister Judy (Joseph Ryan). Family invite you to gather with them at the Wiarton Legion on Saturday, November 22nd for a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Linda’s life from 1 – 3 PM. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Owen Sound Animal Shelter would be appreciated and an be made through the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel (519) 534-5341.
