Mary Anne Ainslie January 29, 2024

Mary Anne Ainslie – of Wiarton, at the age of 79 years passed away with family at her side at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Monday January 29, 2024. Throughout Mary’s life she worked at many restaurants as a cook & waitress which she enjoyed doing until she retired. She loved to read, and her favourite pastime was her afternoon Bingos. Predeceased by her parents, Bert (2000) and Alice Rouse (2016); husband Blake Ainslie (1973); and long-time partner, Murray Howe (2011); Reunited with her sons, Terry Ainslie (1994); and infant son, Dwayne Ainslie (1964). Dear mother of Teresa Ainslie, of Wiarton. Cherished Nana of Katie Leskovar (Sandro) and her precious Great-Granddaughter Selena. Dear sister of Lloyd, George (Joan), Angus, Ron, Keye Galbraith (Jerry), and Kelvin. Predeceased by her brothers Teddy (1985), Kenny (1999), Bob (2018) & Sheldon (2019) and her sisters-in-law MaryLou (1999), Marie (2019), and Heidi (2013). She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins and her wonderful friends she has made throughout her life. Mary will always be remembered and loved by the Rouse and Ainslie Family. The Family wish to thank the staff of Gateway Haven and Brightshores Health System for their compassionate care of Mary. Private family arrangements have been arranged at the Thomas C.     Teresa and Katie. So sorry to hear about Mary Anne passing. I will miss seeing her and talking to her at Gateway. Katie she loved you with all her heart and was extremely proud of her ‘smart’ little great granddaughter Selena. Hugs to all of you!

    I’m so sorry for your loss. Mary was one of the sweetest ladies I knew. I worked at gateway for 5 years and got to know her well.
    When I left Gateway to go back to university I would go back to visit her once in a while.
    I would show her photos of my life and she would always be so happy and grateful.
    She would talk so highly of her family and would always show me the new photos she would receive from her family.
    She was so easy to get along with and I will always cherish the memories I have with her.
    I wish your family all the best. Again I’m so sorry for your loss. She will be deeply missed.

    My father spoke highly of both his Sisters & is saddened to hear of his older sisters recent passing. Our thoughts & love are with Mary’s surviving siblings & her daughter , granddaughter & great granddaughter. We hope you find comfort in your happy memories of time spent with Mary. She will be missed.
