Gauthier, Mike “Flapper” – passed away suddenly in Saskatoon on Friday August 29, 2025. Michael David Gauthier of Calgary, and formerly Georgian Bluffs, at the age of 55 years. Beloved son of Paul and Darlene, of Georgian Bluffs. Dear brother of Diana Gauthier, of Owen Sound. Uncle of Nolan Morris (partner Rebecca), and their children Aria, Mia, Charlie, and Zoey. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Flapper’s family wish to thank the Saskatoon police and the Grey County OPP for their compassion during this difficult time. Family invite friends to a Memorial Gathering at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton 519-534-5341 on Saturday October 4, 2025 from 1-3 PM, with a Time of Sharing at 2 o’clock. September 22, 2025 at 7:29 amI am heartbroken to hear of Goach’s sudden passing at the young age of 55. Having known Mike for 40 years, I can say he was not only a brilliant mind but also a vibrant soul whose passion for life left a mark on everyone around him.
Mike’s love for Slayer and Metallica was infectious, his enthusiasm for their music filling any room with energy. His fascination with skulls spoke to his unique spirit—bold, unapologetic, and endlessly curious. He had a way of making every moment feel alive, whether we were sharing a laugh or diving into one of his many insights.
This loss feels impossibly heavy, and my heart goes out to you and everyone who loved Mike. May his memory—his intelligence, his humor, and his rock ‘n’ roll heart—bring you comfort in the days ahead.
