Sam Brouwer of Georgian Bluffs, passed away suddenly as the result of an accident, on Tuesday June 17, 2025. Siebe “Sam” Brouwer at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband and best friend to Jenny (Jannetje Boers) for over 50 years. Much loved father of Patricia (Troy Krieg), of Wiarton, Brent Brouwer (partner Miréia Queiroz), of Zurich, Joanne Brouwer, of Lion’s Head, Wendy Suckert, Of Kitchener, Lee-Ann Brouwer (husband John Perverseff), of Kincardine, and Gary Brouwer (wife Laura), of Sauble Beach. Cherished grandfather of Trent, Cayley, Calvin, Paige, Kindra, Arthur, Oliver, Carver, Mason, Alexandra, Olivia, Sammy, Arielle, Andrew, Braiden, and Maria. Dear brother of Gary (Linda), Bert, Frances (Frank Vanderwillk), Alma (Frank Post), and Janette (Chris Knowles); and brother-in-law of Ben Boers (Cindy), Linda (Gary Brouwer), Frances Spencer (fiancé Alan Karraker), and Casey Boers (Angela). Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew (Andries) and Dorothy (Dieuwke Djoke); his brother, Peter; and brother-in-law, Derrek Boers. Family and friends gathered to celebrate Sam’s life at the Wiarton Propeller Club on Sunday June 22, 2025. Donations to the Peninsula Community Foodbank would be appreciated.
