Alexander “Sandy” Henderson – of Hepworth, suddenly at Brightshores Health System – Owen Sound on Friday July 11, 2025. Alexander Fortune Henderson, born March 3, 1936, passed at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Louise Amanda Marie Henderson (nee Geneau), who passed in January 2025, for almost 49 years. Beloved father of Stuart Henderson (Donna), of Barrie, Lynette (Fred Capano), of York; and the late James Henderson (Adele). Cherished Papa of Ryan Henderson, of Ottawa, Rylee Henderson (Dawson), of Barrie, and Adele and Serena Capano, of Toronto; and great-grandpa of Theodor. Dear brother-in-law of Suzanne (Ray Pyke), Aline Saunders, Michael Geneau (Ruth), Jean-Paul Geneau (Janet), Danny Geneau (Elaine), and of Fran Geneau. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret Henderson; brothers-in-law, Dennis and Robert Geneau; and sister-in-law, Joyce Kimbro. Sandy was an avid sports enthusiast: golf being his passion. To give back to the community, Sandy taught karate at the YMCA and later, out at the Hepworth Public School. He had a big heart when it came to his fur babies. Family wish to thank the staff of John-Joseph Place and the doctors and nursing staff of the Owen Sound Hospital for their care of Sandy. Private family arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C.
