Tina Hill passed away peacefully at her Wiarton home, on Tuesday September 23, 2025. Christina “Tina” Carol Hill (nee Johnston) in her 75th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Rick for over 48 years. Dear mother of Graham Hill (partner Maria Pagnotta) of St. Catharines, and Scott Hill (wife Darla Kaupilla) of Wiarton. Cherished grandmother of Anthony (partner Hailey), Anika, Oasis and Zephyr. Sister of Jackie Tenute (husband Peter Tenute), of Neyaashiinigmiing; and sister-in-law of Terry Hill (Lori), of Surrey, BC, Pete Hill ( Janis), of Saugeen Shores, and Rebecca Austin, of Oceanside, CA. Sadly missed by her uncles, aunts and cousins, her nieces, nephews, and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents Ross Johnston and Dorothy Johnston (nee Nadjiwan); and brother, Allan Johnston. Tina is fondly remembered for her deep faith and unmatched generosity. Many were surprised by an unexpected gift or note from Tina, often just when it was most needed. Tina worked in support of children and youth for more than 30 years and was always on the lookout for what made each of them special. Tina loved all of her family dearly however she had a special relationship with her dad Ross and his music. Tina’s voice was stunning on its own but their harmonies together were amazing. Family wish to thank all of the nurses and physicians of Brightshores Health System – Wiarton and Owen Sound Hospitals. Also thanks go out to the Community Nurses of Care Partners, Amber and Tammy, Tina greatly appreciated and looked forward to your visits and the thoughtful and respectful care provided over the summer. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tina’s life on Saturday October 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2 PM at the Maadookii Senior Centre, 33 Maadookii Cres., Neyaashiinigmiing. Lunch will be provided. Private family arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041.     Rick and Graham and Scott. I am so so sorry yo hear this about my dearest cousin. And yes Tima had a very powerful voice. We would always had a visit no matter were we ran i to one another.     Rick. Dawn told me of Tina’s passing. I am so very sorry to hear. I had no idea that she was not well.. The last yime that I saw her was at Fays funeral. I always liked Tina and loved to hear her sing. This will be so hard for you. Try to be strong and remember all the wonderful memories. Take solace in your children .     Rick words escape me at this time. Tina was a wonderful soul. She was such a caring neighbour. She fed my building crew, kept an eye on Peter, said numerous prayers for my sister(whom she never met) and for my family. I will always remember the unplanned jam session with Jim, and the other neighbours walking past joining in for a sing-along. My heart goes out to you all.

    Dear Rick,
    I was deeply saddened to hear of Tina’s passing. Whenever you spoke of her at work there was always a gleam in your eyes and a smile on your face it was clear how deeply you loved her. The bond you shared was truly special.

    My sincere condolences to Tina’s family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I just saw Tina a couple weeks ago at church. She led the singing for all of us and her voice was so beautiful as always. The priest who heard her singing for the first time said, “a star is born “. She was smiling and very joyous. She reminded me of her father Ross and I remember the many times when she and Ross led the singing in our church. We have lost an angel but heaven has gained one.     So very sorry to hear of Tina’s passing. I worked with Tina up until her retirement. She had the kindest heart, she alway did it ‘Tina’s way’ and didn’t back down. She shared many talents and the gift of laughter, song and her cooking skills . Tina often shared her love for family and the importance of her faith. Keeping you all in my thoughts at this difficult time. What a sad loss.
