Wright, Wayne Arthur – of Wiarton, peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Wiarton on Friday November 7, 2025 at the age of 75 years. Devoted husband of Deborah “Debbie” (nee Russell) for 14 years. Dear father of Kerri-Anne Wright, of Kitchener, Shari Wright (partner Chad Caton), of Port Albany, BC, and Shauna Anderson, of Victoria, BC; and step-father of Kent LaFramboise (Colleen), of Albany, NY. Much loved grandfather of Rylee, Jordan, and Ruby; and special grandpa of Caitlyn. Brother of Randy Wright (Jan), of Georgian Bluffs; and brother-in-law of Diane Roy. Sadly missed by Debbie’s mother, Marion Suel (late David Russell); and his cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Ken and Ruby; and a brother, Steve.
Family wish to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Wiarton Hospital for their tremendous care of Wayne.
You are invited to a Memorial Gathering to celebrate Wayne’s life at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St., Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Friday November 28, 2025 from 11 – 1 PM. Time of Sharing at 12 o’clock. Spring interment in Oxenden Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Royal Canadian Legion Wiarton Br 208 General Fund would be appreciated.     I will miss you. You fought so hard for so many years. I know that if you could have stayed longer, you would have continued the fight. Your body was tired but dammit that Wright stubbornness was there until the end. I promise to keep that trait going strong, so long as you keep your promise to haunt me with love forever.

    Not one of us is perfect, everyone makes choices they grow to regret but you absolutely did everything you could to turn life around. You more than atoned for your old ways and you have inspired me to make changes before it’s too late.

    I hope the universe rewards you with all the rest you need, all the hickory sticks you can eat and all the ice cold near beer you can drink.

    Give Grandma and Grandpa big hugs and hold onto Charlie for me until we meet again.

    It was sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. My prayer go out to your family and also to the Wright family. We will sure miss him at cards. And I hope where ever he is now he wins big with all the scratch tickets.

    Memories of Wayne in our teenage years, will live on in me and I will chuckle every time I think back.

    One of the photos has a photo of your Mom— Ruby in it beside Anna Jane. There not perfect photos but hope they bring conversations back for memories. I don’t know your generation but certainly your ancestors.
