Daciw, Anne (née Dudych) – April 24, 1930 – May 31, 2024
Anne passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home on Friday May 31, 2024. Devoted wife of the late Fred Daciw. Loving mother of Diane (Donald), Gerald, Robert (Ann) and Carolyn (Allen). Cherished grandmother of Addison, Matthew, Kaleb, Lauren, Keira, Jack and Alana. Predeceased by her daughter Judy (2002) and grandson Blair (1997). She will be greatly missed by all of her family, relatives and friends. The world was blessed to have her for 94 years. She lived life with love and devotion for her family and friends, and a great sense of humour right until the end. We would like to thank Dr. Barrett and staff, Dr. Fenn and the Palliative Care Team, and Dr. Thomas of Lion’s Head for their care and support. Cremation with a private family service has been held. Just happened to see your mom’s funeral notice and wanted you to know how much I appreciated your mom. She was hard working, had a great smile, could sometimes have her strict face on but always cared about others. We had many wonderful conversations over the years at Sauble. She was a loving and supportive. parent who was so proud of her children.

November 2, 2024 at 9:13 pmMy condolences to all the family. My Dad, Johonny Dudych, was her first cousin, and she used to ‘hang out’ with my aunt Diane Tchir and another cousin, Anne Van Ess. Aunt Diane spoke of your Mom as “Big Anne” and Anne Van Ess as “Little Anne”. Your mother may have shared similar stories. I’ve been working on a family tree for some time, and only recently lapsed a bit. I just did a random Google search, and found your mother had passed away. I will share this sad news with her cousin, Laureen, whom she only got to know a few years back, and of course, with my own family – especially Diane’s children. May her memory be eternal!
