Hopps, Bob – Of Wiarton, passed away at Brightshores Health System Wiarton on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Robert Gordon Hopps at the age of 82 years. Special friend of the late Linda Forbes (2013) for 27 years. Father of Rob, and Karin (Paul). Sadly missed by Linda’s family, Margaret Forbes (Pat Kelly), and by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Louise. The family wish to express their appreciation to Dr. Hanley and Dr. Mohammed and the nursing staff of the Wiarton Hospital for the exceptional care they gave to Bob. Friends will remember Bob’s love of giving bones to his furry friends. Cremation has taken place. A graveside interment service will take place on Friday June 19, 2026 at 11 AM at the Colpoy’s Bay Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. Donations to the Owen Sound Animal Shelter or Brightshores Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation Wiarton would be appreciated.
