McCutcheon, Edwin “Ed” – Of Owen Sound, and previously Lion’s Head, peacefully at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Loving husband and best friend to the late former Janice Margaret Robb (2011) for over 38 years. Cherished father of Meredith, of Owen Sound, Darryl and his wife Kristin, of Wellesley, and Dianne, of Owen Sound. Proud grandpa of Ellie and Archer. Much loved brother Keitha (late Francis Riley), of Walkerton, and Wanda McCutcheon, of Lion’s Head; brother-in-law of Shirley (William Irvin), of Lucknow, Glenn Robb (Bonnie), of Goderich, and Sandra (Bob Darling), of Chesley; and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Wilda McCutcheon; Janice’s parents, Gordon and Nora Robb; and sister Linda McCutcheon. Family invite friends to call at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Peninsula Chapel, 272 Berford St. Wiarton (519) 534-5341 on Thursday April 30, 2026 for visitation from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, where a service to celebrate Ed’s life will be conducted on Friday at 1 o’clock. Interment in Eastnor Cemetery. Donations to Brightshores Health System Foundations (Lion’s Head or Owen Sound) would be greatly appreciated.     Meredith and Dianne,
    I wanted to express my condolences to you both and your family for the loss of your Father.
    I hope that are able to manage your grief and support each other through this difficult time.

    Dianne, Meredith, Darryl — my condolences on the loss of your Dad. I’ve been thinking of you a lot lately and how difficult this time must be for you. He will live on in your hearts and in your memories.

    I remember going to visit at Ed and Janice’s a number of times when Dianne and I were kids. In the summer of 1991, there was a litter of 7 puppies, and I think it was Dianne and Meredith who named them after the 7 dwarves. We brought Doc home with us (I think he was the runt of the litter, so he got the shortest name). He was a good dog. I always think of your family when I think of him.
