Gary Carter, of Wiarton, peacefully at Brightshores Health System – Wiarton on Friday May 2, 2025. Gary Raymond Carter at the age of 54 years. Beloved husband of Michelle Robbins for 18 years. Devoted father of Damian, and Makenna, both of Wiarton. Sadly missed by his step-son, Jesse Liverance. Dear brother of Cherri Campbell, of Hepworth. Sadly missed by Michelle’s parents, Calvin and Marie Robbins; her siblings, Angela, Marty, and Marsha; his many nieces and nephews; and by dog Rosie, and cat Pixie. Gary’s family wish to thank the VON staff that supported him at home; the doctors and nursing staff of the Wiarton hospital for their exceptional care; and to Matt, Kristen, Mary, and Gil and the 2023 staff of Red Bay Lodge for everything they did. Michelle wishes to thank Angela, Calvin, Robin, Damian, and her best friend Teresa for all of the love, support and help over the past months. Private family arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. May 9, 2025 at 8:58 pmSo sorry to hear about Gary. I was checking obits and was shocked. I wondered why his mom hadn’t called and found she had passed also. Gary was my 4th cousin and I too live in Wiarton. Gary his parents and siblings used to visit my family in Markham when we were kids and stayed. I kept in touch with Patsy and we’d talk occasionally. Gary was always soft spoken and shy and I’m sorry to hear he has passed. My deepest condolences to his family. Patsy was very fond of him and it would have broken her heart.
