It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of James “Jim” Myles on June 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. A skilled electrician by trade, he took pride in his work and was always willing to share his knowledge and lend a hand. He also served his community for over 25 years as a volunteer firefighter in Sauble Beach, showing courage, dedication, and selflessness. Above all, Jim was a devoted father to his children, Baden, Shailah (Paul Duncan), and Tanielle (Drew Hitchman), and a proud grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Bryce (mother Mary Gillies). His predictable routine, quick wit, and Christmas Eve parties, are just a few things his family and fiends will miss. Jim found great joy at his cabin on Manitoulin Island and at his trailer in Woodland Park, where his friends Derek and Michele looked out for him. He deeply valued the friendships he built over the years and especially treasured the hunting trips, laughter, and memories shared with his dear friends Al and Marlene Reinhardt. Jim is predeceased by his parents, James and Mary; and by his twin brother, Fred. His family would like to express their sincere gratitude towards his nurses, the staff, & Dr. Hanley at Gateway Haven. “They truly could not have taken better care of our dad.” A celebration of Life will be held at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach on Friday June 26, 2026 between 2-4 pm. Condolences may be expressed online at www.whitcroftfuneralhome.com
