Leslie Greenfield Smith – of Wiarton, peacefully passed away at Wiarton Hospital (Brightshores Health System), on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the age of 82 years. Devoted husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Scott) for 60 years. Devoted father of Julie (Brad), Leslie (Sally), Sarah (Anthony) and Andrew (Christine). Proud Grandfather of Ann (Brant), Brandie (Austin), Amanda (partner Karl), Briar, Brandon, Erin (Boban), Callie (partner Aaron), Gavin (partner Alex) Justin (Allison) and Jessica (partner Jake). Great-grandfather to Jacob, Alex, Lily, Bowen, Emma, Eilis, Cillian, Morgan and Hunter. Dear brother of David Smith (late Sheila) of England and Christopher Smith (Lyn) of Ottawa; brother-in-law of Roy Donald (partner Carol), Noreen Blanchett (Charles), Philip Donald (Richlyn) and Joyce Donald, all of Scotland. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Robina Smith; and brother-in-law, Alexander Donald, of Scotland. Family wish to thank the Wiarton Hospital, Community Care, Community Paramedics as well as Dr. Barrett and the lovely nursing staff at Wiarton Hospital. Thank you for helping us through this difficult time. A private celebration of Les’ life will take place at a later date.
