Marie Engel (nee McDonough) – Of Fergus, and formerly of Oliphant, peacefully at Wellington Terrace, Fergus, on Saturday March 25, 2023. Marie Engel at the age of 87 years. Devoted wife and best friend to the late Doug (2021) for almost 61 years. Dear Mother of Kim (Peter Folkerson), of Guelph, and Preston Engel (Dawn), of Sparwood, BC. Cherished grandmother of Michael Folkerson (Holly), Andrew Folkerson (Aleah), Brett Engel, and Paige Engel. Sister to John (Maria) McDonough, England, and Colette McDonough, Australia. Sister-in-law Robert Engel (late Evelyn), of Owen Sound, and Muriel Moss (late Terry), of Mississauga. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Ivy; and brother Liam McDonough (Marie). The family wishes to express their gratitude to the very caring staff of Wellington Terrace.
