Nolan Todd “Scone” Keeshig – Of Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, passed away peacefully at Brightshores Health System Wiarton, on Tuesday February 27 2024, in his 63rd year. Nolan be missed dearly by his sons, Chef Zach Keeshig, Cole Keeshig; and grandchildren, Brayson, Declan, and Brinlee, all from Owen Sound. Also dearly missed by siblings, Willis Keeshig (Grace), Dorene Keeshig, Steven Keeshig, Terry Keeshig, all of Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation, and Arlene Keeshig and Denise Waukey, both of Owen Sound. Nolan sure will be missed by lots of nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins, and his friends. Predeceased by his parents, Luke Keeshig, Alfreda Keeshig (nee Waukey); siblings, Margert Waukey, Gregor Keeshig, Kelly Keeshig, Donald Keeshig, and Susan Keeshig. Nolan was a happy-go-lucky guy, who enjoyed hanging out with his friends, laughing and joking around, and listening to music. He had the biggest and warmest smile ever. Rest in comfort, you will never be forgotten. Friends are invited to visitation at the Maadookii Senior Centre, Neyaashiinigmiing on Friday March 1, 2024 from 11 AM – 4 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maadookii Senior Centre on Tuesday March 5, 2024 from 1-4 PM. Donations to the Nawash Food Bank, or to the Maadookii Senior Centre would be appreciated.
