Ruth Krieg June 17, 2025

Ruth Krieg, of Owen Sound, peacefully surrounded by her family at Chapman House Residential Hospice, Owen Sound, on Tuesday June 17, 2025 on after a short but courageous battle. Ruth Roberta Joanne Krieg (nee Henry) at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Larry for over 55 years. Dear mother of Troy and his wife Patricia, of Wiarton, and Anita, of Owen Sound. Cherished grandmother of Trent, Cayley, and Calvin. Much loved sister to Penny Henry (Pat), of Lion’s Head, Sheila (Gary Gilbert), of Wiarton, Gail Bray (late James), of Milverton, and Doug Henry (Pat), of Chatsworth; and sister-in-law of Dave Krieg (Norma), of Pike Lake, Karen (Howie Wagner), of Kitchener, Debi Powell, of Burgoyne, and Bette (Pete Cowie), of Kitchener. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Clayton and Gwendolyn; Larry’s parents, Harold and Blossom Krieg; her brother, Wayne Henry (Freda); and her sister-in-law, Pat Krieg. Ruth always had to have her hands busy. If it wasn’t in the kitchen making her famous cabbage rolls and perogies for her fans. She would be sitting at the kitchen table working on her crafts. But Ruth and Larry’s favourite pastime was being with their friends at Mountain Lake Camp sitting around the fire and shooting the breeze listening to their favorite country music. Family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Susan Batten; Care Partners nurses, Christine, Amanda, Rachel and Ernest, and PSW, Ben; and to the doctors and nursing staff of Chapman House for the amazing care given to Ruth.     We were so sorry to hear about Ruth’s illness and then of her passing. Ruth and Larry had been part of the Mountain Lake family for many of years, making life long friendships with so many of us.     Our dear sister in-law Ruth who was such a wonderful person & so much fun to be around.
    Unfortunately had to suffer with that terrible decease “cancer”.
    She is in God’s hands now and may she rest in peace.
