January 13, 2025 at 6:04 pmKim, Kevin and families……..we are saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing, so soon after Dad. When I last spoke to Wilda, she seemed in good spirits, said she really enjoyed her recent trip, and that she missed Blaine, but was managing one day at a time, with the support of such a big and loving family. Cherish your many wonderful memories of Mom. Talk of Mom, remimsce, laugh, cry, share stories, and be thankful for your many blessings. Wilda was a strong woman of great faith, hard working, eveready volunteer, with such an amazing family and extended families, and a great sense of community spirit, as well as one of the loudest super-fans of kids and grandkids sports. She truly dedicated her “Heart and Soul” to “Hearth and Home”, where all were welcomed.
I always enjoyed my many visits with Wilda – often reminiscing about career days, families, Church/Faith and her beloved family. Gather together in love and hugs. Jim and I extend our condolences to all of you and pray for God’s Blessings for your strength, comfort and peace, amidst this very difficult time. Mom and Dad are back together for heavenly eternity,. I have no doubt you will feel their presence in spirit evermore. Kim and Kevin – In memory of Wilda, we have made a donation to the Brightshores Wiarton Hospital Foundations charity, per her wishes.
Fondly, With love – Vicki and Jim Doubt.

January 14, 2025 at 8:33 pmKim and Steve, Kevin and Lisa and family and Extended Family.
My sincere condolences to all of you. Thank you for choosing this photo of Wilda. She and I were co-workers for years and we cheered for the same team and “Marner” was our man when he started playing for Toronto. People would ask us when they heard us talking and say “what about Matthew’s”, well did they get an ear-full 😂. We both loved horses, hockey and shared a lot in common. Wilda will be missed dearly by everyone, but for me she is with her soulmate once again. She is gone but will never be forgotten as her memories will always live on. Love you Wilda ❤️

January 15, 2025 at 6:55 pmWilda. Such a beautiful, kind, and caring soul. She and Blaine were good friends with my parents. During the final weeks that we spent with my parents in the hospital, I would see Wilda. She would stop what she was doing and watch me with such compassion. In the long hours while we waited by Mom’s and then Dad’s bedside seeing her gave me great comfort. The odd time we talked but most times words were not needed. I will miss bumping into her at Foodland, always stopping for a quick chat. Such a beautiful soul. May you rest in Peace with Blaine. Miigwech for just being ‘you’. Gizaagin

February 1, 2025 at 11:10 pmDear Kim, Steve, Kevin and Lisa,
Who would have ever thought that we’d each lose a parent on the very same day?
I have so many vivid memories of the countless times that I ventured across Purple Valley Road to “the Store” to buy candy from Wilda when I was a kid. Wilda was always there. Smiling, patient, playful as she counted out Mojos and gumballs, gummy snakes and gummy bears, string licorice and so much more. With always a playful twinkle in her eye, she would patiently fill our tiny paper sacs and take our few coins. A trip to Wilda and the store was always special. And then later on Wilda and my Dad, Harvey Dyck, decided to partner up and raise bees. Smoker in hand and bee hat on top, Wilda helped keep the bees going, especially as winter set in. Wilda even volunteered on the spot to cook up the fish for my parents’ 60th anniversary fish fry at the Hall! Wilda was such an amazing neighbour and dear friend in Purple Valley! I hope you’ve got some beautiful horses to enjoy with Blaine right now, dear Wilda. Sending love and condolences to all of the Gilberts
