Of Markdale, and formerly of Sauble Beach passed peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Markdale on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Loving husband to the late Wilma Irene (nee Gerrie) who passed in 2015. Sadly missed by his friend and partner, Perle Breadner, of Markdale, and by her family. Always remembered by Wilma’s children, Kim and John Givens, Joy Atchison-Liggins, and predeceased son Ken Atchison (who is survived by wife Margie); and Wilma’s grandchildren, Kevin Givens (Lori), Keith Givens (Jeanette), Derrick Givens (Jodi), Corinna Wright (Brad), and Josiphine Atchison Family wish to express their thanks to all the nursing staff doing Lionel’s weekly care at the Hanover Hospital, and the staff who cared for him at the Markdale Hospital. A service to celebrate Lionel’s life will be conducted from the THOMAS C. WHITCROFT FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 814 Bruce Rd. 8, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041 on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 1 o’clock.
